One thing that has been made abundantly clear is that the ‘meta-data’ associated with a particular transaction (snail mail, email, voice, texting, web browsing) is just as important – perhaps *more* important than the data contained within.
Read this again, and let the lesson sink in:
Privacy is going to take a major re-think that encompasses much more than just protecting the insides of a virtual envelope.
